The Times of Israel’s own assessment of the speech, offered in a liveblog line rather than sourced to anyone, was that the prime minister “didn’t present promised new Iran intel or issue additional threats against the regime, or talk about Saudi peace, or even lavish praise on Trump.” Each of those four had been briefed as forthcoming. What he did deliver was an attack on New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, accusing him of endangering Jewish New Yorkers and spreading lies about Israel, per AFP wire copy. Demonstrators hung an effigy of Netanyahu on 24 September; New York politicians were detained at an anti-Netanyahu protest the following day and charged with disorderly conduct.
